How can architecture use play and collective making to transform underused urban spaces into movable infrastructure for community gathering?
I Can Change the World with My Two Hands explores how communities reclaim agency by treating surveying, building and occupation as collective civic practices.
This Community Production Theatre set in Dalston, Hackney, is an open-air performance space and shared workshop for set-building, folly-making and public expression. Construction becomes communal play, enabling local people to design, assemble and adapt cultural infrastructure. The project subverts planning regulation frameworks through temporary occupation, relocation, movement, reassembly and changing programs.
